The FediHub is a node in the federation that provides high-performance, well-connected servers for processes that require them, such as live video. The first service we are planning is a → PeerTube Runner Infrastructure (PRISM) to which operators of PeerTube instances can offload compute-intensive transcoding processes of live video streams.
In addition to the PeerTube/Loops runners, FediHub’s services include those already operated by the partner (including Mastodon, XMPP, Mumble and Nextcloud servers), as well as a PeerTube instance.
In addition, we are planning to collect/produce educational, introductory and onboarding materials that empower people to become competent fediversians.
